Thomas A. Close, CPA (Member) - BS in Business Administration from Shepherd University, Certified Public Accountant. Tom has over 40 years of experience in all forms of taxation as well as small business pension plans, and estates and trusts. Tom is also a registered investment advisor.
Matthew T. Close, CPA (Member) - BS in Accounting from Shepherd University. Over 20 years of experience in all forms of taxation and accounting. Hired in June of 1998. Matt passed the Uniform CPA exam in the spring of 2007 and is licensed in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Bradley J. Close, CPA MBA (Member) - BS in Accounting from West Liberty State College, Masters of Business Administration Degree with an Accounting concentration from Mount Saint Mary's University. Over 15 years of experience in all forms of taxation and accounting. Hired in May of 2003. Brad passed the uniform CPA exam in the summer of 2007 and is licensed in both the state of Maryland and West Virginia.
Brenda Close, EA – Hired in September 1985, Brenda specializes in client relations with over 36 years of experience in accounting and taxation. She has attended various college classes and seminars for training in payroll, accounting, and individual taxation. Brenda passed the Enrolled Agents exam in the summer of 2009 and is also a Notary Public.
Kandy Walls – Hired in February
2008 as the Administrative Assistant for the Berkeley Springs office. Kandy has over 20 years of customer service experience. She is also a Notary Public.
Megan Shives, CPA MBA (Member) - BS in Business Administration from Frostburg State University, Masters of Business Administration from Shepherd University. Hired in February 2013, and has over 10 years experience in all forms of accounting. Megan passed the Uniform CPA examination in March 2018.
Wes Miller- BS in Business Administration from West Virginia University with an Accounting concentration. Hired in January 2021, Wes has more than 20 years of accounting, payroll, and tax preparation experience.
Kim Boyd – Hired in June 2017 as a Payroll Specialist for the Hagerstown office, Kim has over 10 years of accounting and payroll experience.
Kim Kendall – Hired in September 2005 by Accounting Associates, Inc. and became a BTM CPAs employee in October 2016, as the Administrative Assistant for the Hagerstown office, Kim has over 20 years of combined experience in accounting, human resources, and customer service.
Lauren Mumaw- Hired in June 2021 as the Office Administrator at the Spring Mills office, Lauren has over 15 years of customer service experience and is a Notary Public.
Elizabeth Forrest- Hired in October 2019 as a staff accountant for the Hagerstown office. Elizabeth has a plethora of multi-faceted experience which brings great perspective and organization to the client experience.
